Some interior mods and etc

I was not really sure exactly where to post this, so if it needs moved please feel free.

None of this is even anywhere close to professional but I just wanted to post a few pictures of some things I did to the interior (and exterior) that was all under $40 to take a little blandness out of my 2010.

The roll of red trim I got off ebay for $7 that is in my door panel and around the dash. However I ran out and need to get another roll so if anyone goes this route, buy 2.

The anodized paint that I did my speaker grills and grillfront pony I got from Auto Zone, dupli color, and it was $13. A tip on this stuff, it looks like total *** while it is still wet. I was so frustrated that I was going to let it dry then peel it off, But to my surprise, the more days that I let it cure the better it looked. I am pleased with the end result.

The poor mans racing stripes on the hood I did in plasti dip because I had a can my son left behind before he departed for the army. But I had to buy another can. I figured if it looked bad i would just peel it off, it is plasti dip after all. I have mixed feelings on this, it looks ok from afar off but the closer you get it has a strange texture to it and even looks wet still, but was sprayed in September. I got the pin striping from Auto Zone also. I might redo these next summer in paint. The bra hides someone’s poor job at body work.

I replaced the foggy headlights with a new pair off ebay. They were only $70, and really transformed the look of the car.

Not pictured, I removed my center console and steering wheel components, cleaned them in alcohol, drank the rest, and sprayed them with rust oleum charcoal metallic and they look outstanding. IMHO, better than the factory could have done. And rust oleum silver for the bezels around the buttons that seem to get worn out fast.

I replaced the shaker 500 radio that didn’t work with a Chinese sub $200 drop in that I got on sale on Amazon and am pretty danged pleased with it. It has a backup camera and it pairs to our phones instantly. Also not pictured, I bought a trunk mat. It was so off that I contacted the ebay seller in China and they made a new one that was a little better,,,,, but still off. It looks nice but I had to tuck and roll a lot of it so I don’t recommend it

Cool Stuff!

I Actually Have an Obsolete Tape Stripe Kit Around Here Somewhere I Need To List on Ebay! It Says it's For 2010-2012 Models and Retailed For About $400.00 Back in The Day! Just Putting it Out There If You Like The Style Could Probably Make You a Deal! Not Sure if It Was Matte or Gloss Black Would Have To Research a Bit If Interested! Even Got The Right Color Car Pictured To Get a Good Idea What it Looks Like!

Looks good, I did the same with my front/rear panels awhile back, super easy, and I think they look good...

Yes sir, 05StangKC investigate it and let’s talk. I like the stripes enough to go to something a bit more permanent

That looks really nice MadGT. I was at first going to go with some light kit like neon strips or something, but decided I did not want to mess with all the wiring right now and this stuff was cheap enough. I am still pondering some LED lights under the feet or perhaps under the seat just to give it that glow

Here Are Pictures of The Kit & Box. It's Simply Listed as Black Everywhere & There Is a Small Sample in The Center of The Box. Its Matte Black To Me And Also Has The Pinhole Effect I Believe on The Side Stripes. Here Is The Install PDF Instructions. If You Want to Talk Turkey on a Sale I Would Prefer We Do That By Phone!

Note Hood Has Guide Cover Over Top Which I Believe Makes it Look Glossy. That Gets Removed After Placement.

Note INSTRUCTIONS Shows Alcohol For Install! I Advise For Cleaning But Not During Install!
