Have y'all considered making a parking brake handle cover with colored stitching? I would really like to replace the all charcoal unit on my 2010 GB GT with a charcoal leather with grabber blue stitching.

I was number 14 and patiently waiting. At least I hope my post was counted, I think it's a great idea/mod.

yep it did. i have not missed anyone that even hinted about maybe wanting one on any of the forums recently. a few people have pmed me. this project is on hold again for just a little bit. we sent out the first couple covers and are waiting to see how its gonna work out for a diy install. for what it is, the part is time consuming and hard to make. its a small, pretty easy install but very tricky to get just right. anyone whos done any interior installing knows its a art in itself. we`ll see how it goes. we might have to make a couple small changes (nothing to do with the look of the cover) and we`ll be ready to go again.

as in 2010+ OEM pebble like this? i think so, but we havent tried the material yet to see if its thin enough to work out nice. we also still need to try some alcantara on it, but that shouldnt be a issue at all.

I will get the console cover soon, but I ran across the pic below (from stitchcraft) today and thought it looked a lot like the visor covers I mentioned as a possibility in one of your threads. Though Id still really like those (to cover the visor sticker for starters), I'd do evil things for dash stuff like this (the leather & stitch, not the panels) in a kit:

ya thats nice (not the panels, lol) but its not a cover on the dash, its molded in a machine from real thin vinyl. i would still like to make a leather cover for my car, and we might work on it some more this summer. the dash on the new cars with the indent in the center would be really hard to deal with. the vents on the ends and frt on the 05 through a wrench in the spokes on that project.

holy cow ya you did. that entire thing is covered. all that stitching ( and i love the blue) is awesome. i think the solid blue covers are just a little too much myself, but i really dig all the stitched lines, pretty awesome. we do what we can but thats way past what we can do.

ok, just found out there is another grain, maybe between the heavy pebble and the real smooth as the standard gt leather? does anyone have a description like maybe from a window sticker, maybe "milled pebble" ? if there is i`m gonna try to get it. so if you dont have the smooth, all is not lost.

in the meantime, heres a full black alcantara cover. this cover with colored stitch is $111 shipped

i`ll put you on the list, when i get to you i`ll hook you up with the webpage that has the install pics and you can decide. heres a description of the install:

after removing the door/lid from the car, ( the few hinge screws) the plastic bottom plate is removed with 4 phillips screws and 3 more for the latch.

the cover slips over the frt 2 fingers(the little square areas next to the latch on the frt of the lid)

it fits over the lid and wraps over the sides and has 3 straps with velcro on the inside of the cover to hold the sides in place while you re-install the bottom plate with the screws.

where the leather/alcan wraps around the frt edge behind the latch, there is a 4" long indent in the plastic lid that the material has to be glued to (we like the rubber cement) but some thin 2 side tape might work just as well. once the material holds the indent for a while it wont matter. the indent is for the latch which has a little lip on it. once thats done the latch is re-install with the 3 screws and its done

Thanks! I have the black crinkled factory leather with white stitching. This will rock with the new seat covers and steering wheel.
