New Amp Issue
New Amp Issue
For Christmas, my wife gave me new speakers and an amp for my 2012 GT with Shaker 500 and Nav.
I got a pair of Kicker KS68s and DS68.2s and a 350.4 amp.
Everything sounds fantastic but after the install, when I would take the key out, the amp would turn off before I opened the door.
The installers made a change and now, the amp stays on until the door opens. But, a few seconds after the audio turns off, I hear a pop from the speakers. They told me about it at the installer and said that there was nothing they could do to fix it, since they were utilizing a built-in feature of the Kicker amp. They assured me that it wouldn't harm the speakers.
Do I really need to live with this problem, or is there something I can do to fix it?

I've been corresponding with Kicker. They suggest I trigger the amp with a 12V lead that turns off when the door opens. Anyone know where I could find one in proximity to the trunk I could use?
