install steeda X brace w/pics and step by step
So all,
I wanted to get rid of the rear seats. I installed a steeda X brace with a custom made cover for the rear. I think it turned out pretty good, what do you all think.
Started by removing the rear seats. I tied up the rear seat belts and hid them in the rear cross brace so I did not have to remove the rear armrests etc to get them out. Installed the X brace and then I cut the board to size, wrapped it in black carpet, and put in. Finalized the rear by adding a black mustang license plate cover.
Another little touch I did to was to use some leftover vinyl from my stripe install, I put in over the top mounting locations, so I do not have the cars paint color coming through. So it is all black underneath the grey carpet at the top mounting points. Just a little touch to make it look complete.

Skid,
Do you have a photo bucket account? You can upload them & copy the URL to paste them on the thread ... we would love to see the install!
What are you thoughts of the before & after?
Let us know!!

I was able to post them by making them smaller, thanks to Jazzman's info.
I think the look is the best part, makes the car into a two seater, which I like. The car definitely feels stiffer, especially when hitting bumps in the road at say 25-30mph.
Just wondering if it is a "butt dyno" type of situation though. There was a two week gap of driving the car due to my work, during that two weeks I installed the brace.
