How is the '11 radio HD?
It doesn't sound any different than my last one, and there are no new stations.
The stations, if available in HD, will somehow be shown as HD. Sounds a lot better. If your local FM stations don't broadcast in HD, you won't see a difference.
It is like getting a HDTV. If you don't get an HD signal to start with, chances are you won't see much of a difference.

+1
I don't have HD cable, but I have a 50" HD tv and I think the shows look like ****. But on the XBOX360 is all like ka-kow!
You need a HD receiver for your TV and the shows will look a lot better. Not XBOX quality but very good.
I think if you are listening to a HD radio broadcast then they usually transmit the song info that will show up on the display, like song title and artist. That would be one way that you would know that you are recieving a HD signal. All of the radio stations that have HD transmit the signal in conjunction with their analog signal.
RDS (Radio Data System) is the service that many stations provide that shows various information on the display. Sometimes it's title and artist, sometimes it's just the station call sign or slogan. In any case, it is available in both digital and analog formats - not just HD.
wait wait wait... my car has HD radio??? no freakin way! i didn't know that!!!
There are certain stations as you say that are multi-cast... for example, 93.9-2, and 93.9-3
I know they exist because on my previous car i used to listen to them all the time as I had an HD radio installed aftermarket.
Does anyone know how to tune to the subsequent stations???
