I do not even use sync anymore

 

That alpine is looking mighty sexy. 8 inch screen is like the my touch in my explorer. Also Alpine did a decent job with dash adapter. May cost more, but the Alpine has some of the newest tech on the market atm.

You could probably get a different connector to use the Sync and other OEM stuff.

 

Are you able to use the phone button on the steering wheel to answer and hang up?

Just installed 4 Pioneer speakers and the Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH but haven't tried it out yet. Of course my 2012 Boss did not come with SYNC so I don't have to worry about that. Gonna try and test ride it today.

 

I am currently in the process of installing the Alpine Perfect Fit kit, let me just say this thing is not a perfect fit. Having big issues with audio quality. I would love to talk to someone else that has already installed one of these on a Shaker 500 system.

Crutchfield has been extremely helpful but also can not seem to figure out what could be wrong. This has been very frustrating and has consumed lots of my time.

What seems to be the problem you're having ? I've installed 2 with Shaker without a problem.
