Doesn't sound too difficult to do then. I just may have to tackle this.
This may seem like a dumb question, but when the front speakers are amped, do they over-power the stock woofers in the doors? In other words, can you still hear the bass coming from the oem woofers? Thanks.

Sorry I have not logged on awhile. I did not have to drill anything. The PAC has line level adjusters on it as well as your amp ( it should) I would adjust those before you adjust it on your radio fader. That way you keep the full sound to your fronts. I added a Clarion eq for (55) in the trunk to adjust the sound to my rear deck speakers as well I will post some pictures tonight. Pretty good sound for the $$. I do not get any engine or alternator noise in my set up.

I saw what looked like adjustment screws on the PAC but wasn't sure. So that's where I could adjust each speaker instead of fading it? I have the Clarion XC1410 amp and it doesn't have any adjustment on it, just the high level/low level inputs. The electrical hum is so low you can barely hear it. I'll have to check into the Clarion eq also.

and here is what it looks like in the front. I used tie downs just in case the box does fit pretty snug though. I have to puts a little with the eg but it does improve the sound and no noise either. I wish I could get it in the front but I do not want to cut anything and I want to keep the factory HU.

I tried the Alpine spr69 did not like them they distorted quickly, I am just sticking with the Infinity reference 9632cf they were 79 on amazon. It sounds a whole lot better then before. Thanks on the baffles I was not thinking correctly on that one.

Which Alpines? Good to hear you got the Infinity's sounding better though...

I'm not using the factory subs in my car. I have some peerless 8" in the doors right now. They have some issues, plus I need to work on the EQ. The new wires in my doors were for what was originally to be a three way in the door, but I've changed to a two way front set up. I have hlcd horns mounted under the dash and the 8" in place of the factory subs.

I just installed this same eq and what a difference it makes. Now to amp the front speakers and add the eq to them also (if it ever quits raining here).

Good info on the PAC guys, thanks. I am kind of considering this now. Sounds like the line quality is decent. Why you guys are amping the rear speakers is still beyond me though lol.....but to each his own I guess.

I'm used to it growing up with older cars with rear speakers. I prefer to be surrounded by the sound, just not coming at me from the front only. I'm hoping to run the speaker wires to the doors next week.
