Did you run the wires in the clock spring. I still don't think the module matters if it came from a nav, or non navi. As far as I can tell the wiring is the same going from the acm to the apim. The only thing different is the buttons. There is one on ebay right now for 50. Ask the seller what car it came out of. I know you already have 2 though, but the dealer will charge you more that the apim.

Edited...

I found some on car-parts too.

Alright. I got it all working 100%. I had to use the harness they sent me. Since the 2010 doesn't have the additional plug for that harness, I had to run power, ground, and the mic wires into it.

So here is the break down.

1:
I used a add on sync kit that I got from ebay. It was an add on for 2009 mustangs. All I used from it was the harness.
2:
GT 500 steering wheel, or premium with the right side buttons. They have to have the voice, phone, and ok on it.
I used a acm and a sync module From a premium 2012 car.
No reprogramming required!
3:
I had to run wires from the plug on the side of the steering wheel for the clock spring to the harness. I repinned the plug on pin 14 and 15. I ran those wires to the harness and spliced them into where the hmi plug would go. On the harness 14 goes to the blue orange wire, and 15 goes to the white violet wire.
4:
I used a 2012 mirror with the mic and compass. And a harness cr3z-17r745-ba which is the same as cr3t-14c585-bc. The cr3z is the original harness, and the cr3t is an engineering harness.
5:
I cut the plug off the new harness. I ran power from an open slot on the sbj that was power when key is on to the solid blue wire on the new harness for the mirror. I ran a chassis ground to the black and yellow wire. I thenjoy found the wires for the mic. They were taped all toget her with aluminum wrapped around it. I then spliced the yellow green wire from the sync harness pin 5, to the blue wire on the new harness for the mirror. I ran a wire from pin 6 from the sync harness to the other wire in the harness.

I had not messed with the auto dim, or the compass. I was not worried about any of that. Maybe later I'll get all that hooked up. Just not right now.

Good Job !!

I am glad for you, you worked so hard and spent so long on it.
You deserve the thing to work just for that.

Robert

Thanks for the detail, I might decide to take the same route. For the moment, the add-on sync mike is just working perfect, people are telling me that they hear me very clear. I'll keep you post in memeory if I ever decide to go on with the Mirror mike.

Thanks. Yes it has been a long process for me. Everyone that has done it didn't seem to have the issues I had. But we learned something from it. Stick with a 10-12 apim (sync module) for 10-12 cars. If you do got with a 13 or newer. You may have to swap out both sides of the steering wheel switches for it to work. It wouldn't of taken so long, but work and kids took up a lot of my time.

I'm not the only one in this adventure. I have to give thanks to lexiion, jim, zeroaviation, and I'm sorry if I missed anyone else. But they helped me along the way. As well as people on another site that got me going on this.

As for your mic all you should need to do is run the wires for the mic from the sync harness to the plug under your dash. There should be one there for that harness. Use these...
Male Pin
Part number for the male pins (www.digi-key.com):
A104905-ND

From my understanding the 11-14 have the plug either in the a piller, or just under the dash for the mirror harness. Unfortunately the 10 doesnt. That's way I had to make my own harness for the mirror harness to plug into.
