Also, the switch you are using - does it have an 'OK' button on it?

Is there a chime when you hit the button at least?

Do you need my 2012 sync module?

Also, that the connector views do not match the wiring diagrams for 2014 is suspicious.

Nope. I think the 13 and 14 syncs are way different wiring wise.

Would someone be willing to test something for me. If you unhook the mic will you still get a chime?

Yup. Still get a chime.
Unplugged the mirror, still get everything, except microphone.

Check the wiring from the switch to the ACM.

Jim let me look into it more after i get out of work. I'm going to double check everything. And see what the switches from lex do. If i can't get any think I'll get the module from you and the mirror from lex.

Ok so I have the loom off and I traced the mic+. It goes from the sync plug to a splice. Then to the mic and to pin 11 on the small plug to the acm. If themic + is moved to pin 18 on the sync plug for the 14. If that is the case wouldn't it be in the wrong spot on the acm plug?

The switch wires go from the sync plug pin 15 and 14 to the 130-5. Which is the plug the clock spring plugs into. I don't see anything where those go to the acm. The only ones i found for that is the ones for navi. Which go from pins 13 and 12 on the sync plug to 11 and 12 on the small acm plug. They match the wiring diagrams on 10's and 13s

So the acm has 3 plugs on the back. I wonder if the 3rd one is for the steering wheel controls. If that's the case why does the source and volume work with out anything plugged into it. The voice, phone and ok buttons go to the same plug by the diagrams

Ok I see now the steering wheel controls are in the big plug for the acm. I think I found it and will tap into it and see if I get it to work. Then I need to figure out the mic still

it looks like, without navigation, the Steering wheel switches go right into the sync module Pin 14 and 15

That's the way it's set up right now. I know I asked earlier about the sync module coming from a navi car if it would make a difference. And we thought it wouldn't. But I did see in the menus on sync about voice guidance. I wonder if they changed it in 13s. If there is a sync box for non navi cars and a different on for navi cars.

I still use my non Navi Sync for the Navigation and it works fine. Let me look at my harness real quick (non Nav)

The blu-orang and white violet go from the clock spring right into the sync module. The small plug for the ACM has a shield and 2 other wires. Let me check what that is
