Ok. According to your diagramms, the MIC is wired differently into the APIM:
Old MIC PIN 5 for + and 6 for -
New MIC PIN 18 for + 5 for - and 6 for ground.
Did you change that accordingly, including the ground?

I was going to suggest sending you my sync module and see if it works with your car. But I'll try the switch first. Because in order for you to test my module you would have to re pin the connector that goes to sync module for the mic to work

Nope. It doesn't do anything. On my wifes escape if you hit the voice button sync will say say a command. Mine doesn't say anything. If I hit the phone button in hers it will switch to phone. Mine doesnt.

If you do, change the wiring before you plug it in.
I can still send you the switch... But I am not sure, if that solves the switch issue. Make sure the addtl. Wires in the steering wheel have a solid connection into the switch

I can tell you that the pinouts on C290A - the one that plugs into the ACM, are the same on both the 2012 and 2014s. Even pins 4 and 5 are the same on both according to the connector views in the wiring manuals.
For the 2014 wiring diagram manual, when looking at the wiring diagrams, what it says pins 4, 5, 11 and 12 will do does not match what they say they are for in the connector views.
This is not the first time that there are screw ups in Ford's wiring diagrams. Did you try it before you changed out those pins?
Also, I am looking at the pinouts for C2383 on the sync module.
The following are different on C2383:
2012
6 - microphone - phone voice control
18 - not used
2014
6 - ground
18 - microphone - phone voice control
Pretty much as you have confirmed. Do you even get a chime when you press the sync button on the wheel?
