V6 Trailer Hitch

It’s probably sacrilege to put a trailer hitch on a Mustang.

I have a Kendon single rail motorcycle trailer:

The combined towing weight of the trailer and bike would be right around 800 Lbs.

Draw-tite offers a class 1 hitch, part #24863, which fits the 2011-2013 Mustang V6, all models:

I was wondering if anyone has installed a trailer hitch on their 2011-2013 V6 Mustang. If so, can you post up a photo? Thanks

No V6 but I have one on my '11 GT...use it for a bike rack for the wife's wheel chair and a small trailer for a golf cart. Works great.

Thanks for the photos.

The rear black valance design allows the hitch to blend in for a nice clean look. If a hitch was an option, that’s probably the way the factory would have done it.

What brand do you have? I have GT/CS and have been looking at hitches, Drawtite says that it distorts the valance some. How bad is it?

Mine is a drawtite... I see no distortion of the valance at all. If anything, it would push up in the center of the valance near the forward edge. Mine did none of that.
