washing the car today i noticed i have a horrible chip on my hood...passenger side about in the middle front to back

no clue how that got there, its down to the metal



i have been thinking about stripes, and this may be a good opportunity to get painted stripes

what cost do you think i would be looking at with getting the entire hood repainted and getting stripes like these painted on



or should i go with the boss type stripe

 

I wouldn't repaint the hood just because of the chip, they happen. Use a pen type touch up paint to make it less noticeable, base coat and clear. With some fine sand paper and compound you can make it un-noticeable. If you do want to repaint and get stripes, the first ones look best IMO.

 

go with the boss, the first pic looks like a stinkin camaro.. but i do agree dont repaint or cover the hood just for a chip.. unless you have the money to do it

 

i may have been over-reacting yesterday lol but it pissed me off

by the end of the day i ordered DrColorChip, will try that

the camaro stripe thing...i have mixed feelings about that, i love the stripes but i agree they are too camaroish

 

I've never seen that DrColorChip, seems to easy! Let us know how well it works.

 

Just got a chip on my hood this weekend and also ordered Dr. Colorchip. I'll post the results after I do my touch up.
