Is putting a 5.0 badge on a v6 wrong?

I have a 2012 gtcs and also just bought a 2013 V6 vert. those V6 are quick. throwing on a cia. larger throttle body and an SCT tune she will be real quick. I can go up against the older V8 and beat them. Then I can laugh and tell them you have just been beat by a V6. Do not re badge you will just be a poser. Re vamp and be a spoiler.

Wrong? It's not illegal so it's only wrong or not in the conscience of the car owner. It's his car, he can do what he wants.
The better question would be is it stupid.
Anyone who knows Mustangs well will know right away that it isn't a 5.0, there are visual clues unless there have been more changes than just the badges. And as soon as the car is started you will hear that it isn't a 5.0.
In the end, who cares?

Exactly. Who freakin cares. Is it stupid? Heck yeah. Would I do it to my car if I bought a V6? Nope. But unless the title is in your name the guy can put a Camaro badge on it for all I care.

I am not sure the actual numbers but the current V6 is nothing to look down upon. 307 with some add ons to about 360 is even less to lookdown upon. I know I have a 2012 GTCS which I did a dyno on and it pushes 416 at the wheels. So I am a good judge of the new V6 and how well it performs. i was just simply stating not to re badge but to revamp. Because They are so much quicker today no need to fake it and he should be proud of his new 6er.

Except I would think anyone who put a Camaro badge on the car would be open to "pain and suffering" lawsuits after the Chevy fans rush out to their dealer only to realize a real Camaro in fact still looks like a POS.

You are aware of the Shelby GTS, right? They take ANY model Mustang - including a V6 - upgrade it (brakes, suspension, exhaust, and if you pay them enough a supercharger), and slap SHELBY emblems on it.
