Is putting a 5.0 badge on a v6 wrong?

I think it's wrong. Think of how his engine feels, knowing that your owner is ashamed of you and is pretending he's got something else under the hood. It's like finding out your boyfriend is carrying around a picture in his wallet of some woman he doesn't even know, and telling people that is his girlfriend. If I were that V6, I'd feel very insulted. What an S.O.B..

Perhaps you should just ask the guy why he put the badges on, maybe just maybe he did an engine swap to the coyote motor and now wants the badges. Not likely I'm sure, but asking him would find out why he did this. Must be afraid of him.

Nothing wrong, it's his car, he can go ahead and stick whatever he wants to it. However, it does speak volumes about the character of a person who feels the need to exaggerate to compensate for inadequate equipment. That's my 2 cents bro.

The only time it becomes "wrong" is if he tries to misrepresent it when he sells it. Claiming it is a 5.0 when it is not to a potential buyer constitutes fraud.
Personally I wouldn't do it, but in the big scheme of life it's pretty minor. It's a little more posing than say a spoiler, wheels, bumper type of thing - but who really cares?
