Okay well i go to school every day in the mornings and since day one I've seen someone with his stock v6, in half the semester I've seen him mod his car. By the looks of it he has a lowered stang with charcoal AMR wheels, and idk what other mods he has put. Now today I saw his car in the morning and saw that he has changed his 3.7 to a 5.0 emblem. Now is it wrong to pose as something that it's not?

It's like stuffing a sock in your shorts.

Exactly, I think that it's wrong to be posing as a 5.0 since most 13-14s looks the same from the body exterior except from the front fog lights and the hood vents.

I used to see a V6 Charger around here just about every morning, the guy had put R/T badges on it, I kept wanting to pull up next to him and yell at him that it's NOT an R/T ...

Posers should be burnt alive, lol

If you can live with people asking to look under your hood and then seeing a six banger then go for it.

WRONG!
but got me thinking that V6 puts out way more HP than when the first 5.0.
Just like the cobra or gt500 badges on a gt wrong!

There was a 302 in 1968 that put out over 300hp

It's his car, why do you care what he does to it?

The Tunnel Port 302 doesn't count since it wasn't a regular production option.

Here we to again.... But this is the most blatant, inexcusable form of wrongful badging. It doesn't offend or bother me, it just makes me think that person is a goofball.

HP was determined differently back then...if factored like today, that was probably closer to 250 or less....check out the times, todays v6 blows that cars doors off....

Op, you sure this is a "friend" and not you?

Either way, I think you know the answer to this question.

Get your flame suit on. You just opened an extremely full, can of worms...just itching to get out.

I'm a fan of no badges, or bare minimum badging. 5.0 badge on V6 is like the "Type R VTEC" badge on a Toyota Celica... just doesn't belong there.

But it's just a 3D sticker, so if it makes you happy, go for it.

I don't really care what he does to his car but that's just wrong to do that.

It's wrong and he deserves any ribbing he gets for miss-badging his car.

Haha nah it's definitely not me I would never do that if I had a v6 as right now I don't have one and I'm still looking around my area to buy a mustang 5.0

Placing hoods, spoilers, stripes, or wheels used on another model would not be classified as a "poser" in my opinion, but badging a car with "5.0" when it is not is just looking for trouble.

It's one thing to wear the clothes of someone, but when you take their name as yours, then you become a poser.
