my gt500 front conversion
Alright then. I guess I'll be turning my CS into a Boss. Since technically thats what I REALLY wanted, but not it's awful interior. So don't complain if I see you guys at a show, if you do I will reference this thread. LOL
I feel GT's are made to be modded. Bosses should stay Bosses, Shelby's should stay Shelby's, GT's should be whatever you want them to be. CS's are just GT's too me and are also fair game. I don't mind if mustangs borrow parts from ANY mustang, but there's something just not right about making a complete copy of a car that's in production, but that's just me and I could be wrong...hahaha of course I'm not wrong, it did feel funny writing that I could be wrong. Lol
That'd be cool to me! Grabber blue boss that's an 11-12. I think it'd be freaking awesome. Especially with that rear brace in grabber blue. Do itttttt

I just added a GT grille to my V6, but now it looks like one because that's the only difference in a '13 (besides hood vents). So does this not make it right? Before and After pics:

I heard about this one guy who made a cobra jet clone. It was actually a really cool idea because none of them are street legal. I don't necessarily like misbadging or making a complete clone of a car that's already available, but that was definitely a unique idea.
I don't care about copying...just don't badge it as such. If your car isn't a GT, BOSS, COBRA, GT500 leave the badges off. The once who put the badges on are just trying to fool the uninformed into thinking they have something they don't.
No, it's not just you, but that's the sad part - there are so many close-minded individuals on here (and other forums) that feel the need to say something like that. If you don't like it, don't comment.
It only boggles the mind if the mind is incapable of expanding, or is otherwise immature. I bet after seeing my car, your head would likely explode...

And it's "just a V6..." (what I've been told at car shows and car meets, and in this forum).

I actually put a couple of weeks of research into it, just to see how much it would cost. If you went with all new parts, it would cost $16k-18k to do the swap the right way.

*But* that doesn't preclude you from spending the $1300 (I think that's the price, but it may be $1600) to buy one and put it in ANY S197...
It's a chassis stiffening device, and chassis stiffening is most certainly NOT limited to Laguna Secas.
Personally, I want to put a rollbar and a rear seat delete in my V6. Luckily for me, roll bars and other chassis improvement devices/parts are not engine-specific, and generally don't care trim level your car came from the factory with.
I also want to put better brakes on it (Wilwood), so imagine my delight to find out that once again, the motor and trim level doesn't matter where such an upgrade is concerned.

When I first got my stripes and body kit installed, people were complaining (loudly) because it "looked to much like a Shelby", or was a "lame attempt at making a Shelby". Note that I didn't have any lettering or badging on the car other than the "Powered By Ford" emblem on the fenders, and beyond that, it looks NOTHING like a GT500 (I don't really care for the front fascia anyway). Still, this didn't seem to have much affect on the douches and haters.
It really kinda bothered me that I was irritating so many people unintentionally, so after considerable thought, I put "SHELBY" letters on the front/back of the car. My view is that if I'm gonna **** someone off, well then, I'll poke 'em in the eye with a sharp stick while I'm at it.
So go ahead, hate my car, and hate me if that's what blows up your skirt. You can even laugh and point if you want. I'll just smile and wave.

Well, not all of them do it for that reason. I do it specifically to **** off people like you. And it's apparently effective.
