my gt500 front conversion
To an extent. But if you wanted a GT500 you should of bought a GT500. Maybe it's just me, but I've never owned a car where a large amount of the forum population strives to make their car look like another trim level or special edition of the same car.
It boggles my mind.

"GT500 Conversion"
"Boss 302 Conversion"
"GT/CS Conversion"
Maybe it's just me but if you want your car to look like a better version of your own car, then you should of bought the better one to begin with.
As far as making a GT500 look like a base V6. That is a different scenario all together. That is something I would like to see.
I think the joy of owning your car is making it your own. People like to push their beliefs on others. It doesn't just happen with cars. Enjoy what you want to do with your car.

It's called "aesthetics." People put things on their cars regardless of brand because they like the way it looks.
Next time you wear your Peyton Manning jersey or Air Jordan's we will look at you, shake our heads and tell you to quit trying to be something your not!
Jk haha
Maybe it's something of the Mustang culture I do not understand yet. This is my first Bang-Stang I've ever owned. I've seen a few threads in the realm of..

I have a 05 v6 w/GT bumpers & painted skirts. Car looks like a GT but nowhere on it is there a badge. Sure alot of people are like it's a waste of money but hey I made my car what I wanted it. One day it'll get a v8 or ill get another car haha get off my jock lol
This is downright illogical. I suppose people who add GT 500 spoilers or Cobra rims fall in the same categories? In addition, people with Roush and Saleen components as well.

The goal of these clone cars is to fool the general public and their friends into thinking they have something better than they purchased. So when they're driving along, some guy in another sports car will be like "Oh snap! A GT500.. better not mess with that!"
Unfortunately for your comeback I do not wear sports gear. And If I did I wouldn't be portraying to others that I am a professional athelete while doing so.
In the end. It's not my car. So I do not really care for what he (or anyone else) does to his. The point of a public forum is to give ones own opinion. Which is what I did.

I mean. I'm all for a unique ride that reflects the owner's tastes. I just think It's weird copying a better version of your own car. Like I said, I'm new to the Mustang culture so I didn't know this kind of thing was tolerated.

A spoiler and wheel swap isn't the same as a complete body make over. Maybe it's just a mustang owner mentality where it's tolerated over the generations. Which is why I frequently see Boss and GT500 "clone" car threads.

But alas: see what happens when we pass judgement on the "exterior" of something and fail to examine the logic and reasoning behind "freedom of personal choice?" Furthermore, form opinions not based in fact and only examine the "parts" and not the sum of the whole. My bad.
We end up making assumptions and come off as a uppity *****.
Doh! I should know better.

I'm not against people visually modding their car to the way they like.
Sorry. Based on your etiquette as a newbie in the forum and your avatar, I perceived you as a person who wears sports gear, backwards cap, dew rags, loc sunglasses, pencil thin goatee, and high top sneakers.

mines curstom. GT front bumper painted to be like the GTCS bumper. GT rear bumper. My gas cap & 3rd brake light shaved. Gone. 3" Kaenen hood. Hood pins(actually needed) haha it looks fast but is far from.
Love it bro. If only you could just take that d@mn front plate off. Uggh.

On another side note. That is an excellent looking Mustang. Where in Tx are you located?
