This is not plug and play, but wasn't hard to do. The part that was absolutley awful was routing the wires from the doors through the tubing and into the car. That was terrible and my hands are pretty bruised up and cut from it.
Congrats .. so you used factory connectors at the door and went straight to the SJB ?

I used the connectors at the mirrors, but I just routed the wires through the doors and into the cabin.

I did take power from the SJB just as in the diagrams I posted. I tapped into the wire for the rear defrost for the mirror defrost.

Does the heating element work on the 13/14 when installed?

Geee... it starts to suck to have that in between model

I was thinking about this, and got some hope doing it the same way like Jim, but .....

Just tap into the same spot dmhines did for the lights. There should be no issues.

Great thread - I just bought a 2014 GT premium with the track pack and I was dissapointed it didn't have the Pony projector mirrors or heat. Can't imagine why on the premium it would not be included. The Pony projection is so cool I will have to make it first on my list to do to the car.

I get a kick out of seeing them at night projected on the ground.

Every time I see them

I still not sure I understand how to remove just the glass on the 2013-2014 mirrors so I get access to the tabs to release the color cap or bonet so I can use it on the new heated mirrors

Does every dealer sell these? I want to get a pair for my 2014 GT. I haven't checked to see if it's wired since I have the base model GT but I am going by the statement on here that they are definitely wired.

I want these more for the heating than the projector lights. My sister has had the projector lights replaced multiple times already on her 2013.

To remove the mirror glass you take the flat tip screw driver and get between the round mount and the mirror assy. Once between them give the flat tip a small twist and it will start to pop it off. Use the flat tip to work around the round mount till you can pull it off. if you need anything else let me know and i'll do what i can.

Here are the pics of the wiring diagrams showing the difference between the 2012 and a 2014. There is no difference. Looks like Ford had planned on the Pony Puddles lights form the beginning.
Are these the pigtail connectors that will fit directly to both left and right 2013/2014 mirrors to then run wiring to to the Dome light and the rear demistor on earlier 2010 mustangs.

Would anyone have a 2010 wiring schematic showing the SJB for the pin connections.

Look above. That's a 2010 SJB. It is missing the pin for the puddle lights.

FYI.. I still see some ask the basic question. Yes, the 13 and 14 are pre-wired for heated/pony projectors. I have a v6 and just installed them, works as advertised.

Just remember when unplugging the mirror harness press from top/bottom and pull..it won't budge at all if you pull it from it's sides. Mirror covers, squeeze and pull up from the housing..gently.

I finally installed them, and the instructions are top notch. I found getting the covers off a little tricky, me being paranoid on scratching them. A nice easy job and great results! Take your time, and its really straight forward.
Thank you for posting the great How-to.

It is a cool feature but the lights burn out quickly under normal use. I've already replaced both of mine under warranty and blame cheap imported parts. I probably won't bother when the warranty runs out.
