GT/CS Lower fascia on standard GT

Hello. I've been a lurker on the forums for the past few months. I'm finally ready to take the plunge and order a new GT premium convertible. I want to add the front & rear lower fascia and chrome grille from California package. However, I don't want the CS logos, interior and wheels.

The Mustang configurator on the Ford website lets you add the front & rear lower fascia as an option without the California package. My understanding from reading the forums is that it can be added, but does not come with foglamps. These need to be purchased separately if you want the lower fascia without the California package.

I contacted a local dealer, and was told there was no way of adding the lower fascia without ordering the entire California package. He even contacted his zone representative, who apparently confirmed this. What's going on???

You can't order the car the way you're trying to. You'll have to order a regular GT and then order the GT/CS parts through one of the vendors such as the following:

GT/CS rear valance - http://www.blueovalindustries.com/ads/2011/exterior/bp2190.html

The GT/CS front valance and grille can be ordered through any dealer parts department or do a search through google or these forums. Several people have changed the front and rear's to match the GT/CS. Also look at Saleen's front grill, that seems to be a more popular mod then the GT/CS grille.

Hope this helps!

The Rear Valance it the GT500/Boss/CS for the 2010 on up and the Front Facia comes with or without the Fog lights. You will also need to change the Grill Surround, since the GT has a different Grill size than the GT/CS.

Rear Lower Defuser AR3Z-17F828-AA
Grill surround BR3Z-8419-AA
Lower Facia with Fog Lights BR3Z-15200-AA

All the Part Numbers are from Fords Accessory Web Site http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/home.do
Maybe you need to show that to the Dealer

Also, they will try and tell you that the Lower Facia # is for the Fog Lights only, but members on here and other Mustang sites I frequent have gotten this and it is the whole thing, including the harness extenders for the Fog Lights.

First of let me start by saying NEVER EVER EVER order from Blue Oval Industries!!!! They don't advertise their products right and their customer service is terrible so basically if you get something and it ends up messed up their going to tell you your **** outta luck its not their fault and if they do miraculously decide to exchange the part they charge you for the shipping back to you and a restocking fee. Ive had a bad experiance with them and I know MANY others not just one or two but a whole list of people that have had trouble with them.

Also I think on the Ford configurater it might be doing it as a dealer installed option I think but your right that they do give you the option of ordering a chrome or dark grey grill with a GT/CS front fascia and a Shelby GT500 Rear fascia , thats weird though

Step 1: Order the GT premium vert the way you want it.
Step 2: Order the GT/CS lower front fascia, upper grille (optional), rear fascia, and fog light kit and harness (optional)
Step 3: Haver dealer install on delivery

AMEN BROTHER! BOI is not the place you want to order anything! They burned me on some Foose Springs that they were trying to sell as the real Ford racing springs. Before it was over with, Ford Racing and CDC were involved. Since then I have been banned from ordering from BOI....not that I care. Anyway, I had the same question about the appearance parts that you did. You will have to order the CS parts you want and them have them installed either by the dealer's body shop or the body shop of your choice.

Not trying to thread jack but I didn't find out about BOI's reputation till AFTER I ordered my Roush front fascia, front and side splitters. I'm holding my breath till they show up. Really hoping they are legit and in good shape. Though I know Roush ships them directly. Never would have thought this would be an issue!

As for OP, yes just order from a good reputable shop like the other guys have recommended. Getting different model fascias and grilles is quite common.
