Black 5.0 Emblems
My son keeps mentioning black 5.0 badges on the fenders. I was looking at eBay to see what's out there and I find many that say "from China". I also notice that the font does not look very accurate on those. I want quality parts. Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations on correct looking emblems in black?
The second part of this question goes to what color of black. With the car being Ruby Red, tinted windows and the Brembo wheels, which would look the best, gloss black, satin black, black chrome or charcoal to match the wheels? Thanks.

My buddy has the Matte version and it works well with his other matte features on his car!

You could try plastidipping them first to see which color you like better, which is relatively cheap and give you an idea on what you'd like better on the car. I tried doing that first, but didn't like how it turned out, but I have seen lots of others do a great job!
I went with the matte black emblems on mine. I bought mine from American Muscle, but I just looked and they don't have them listed anymore, so they might be out of stock or something...

I'm probably going to put the 5.0 badge back on.

Something a little different. This one belongs to a forum member here. My apologies for not remembering his name.
I think this is outstanding and original. I love the subtle matte black 302 in the hash stripe, and the Powered By Ford emblem on the fender really makes this Mustang stand out from the crowd.

I've always been a fan of the matte stripes on almost any colour. Matte black looks great on black, but I've wondered about matte grabber blue on grabber blue?
Something different from white or black

I had finally decided against stripes earlier this summer since it seems that every black S197 had them. I wanted different and leave my car naked.
But I'm feeling the angst again. I really love what that owner did with his matte black over the top stripes, 302 fender hash stripes and the PBF emblem and now I'm considering duplicating it exactly.
However, I don't want to be a copy cat. That's where I'm torn.
What do you think?

Don't recall when it posted either. I just saved the pic when I was considering stripes and emblem changes on my black 'vert. Heck maybe even do those stripes in Sterling Gray, now that you have the Boss LS wheels? And if you're still planning the CS40s, either the matte black or gray stripes will compliment them.

I hear ya. What about the full 2013/1970 Boss styles stripes in matte black? Then you could add the Boss grille and pony Tribar emblems on the fenders or maybe that 5.0 Coyote emblem from LMR, that is similar in shape to the PBF emblem... it comes in black or chrome. I really like that one and you don't see it too often.
Not crazy about stripes on the sides, and I really don't want to change grilles. Of all the stripes on black Mustangs, I dig the pic of the one I post best.
Wish I'd thought of it first.

Ah I see. I just ordered the Tribar emblems yesterday. Going to do the Boss 302S grille, ordering next week. I'm going to black chrome the chrome parts to match my wheels, then paint the red white and blue stripes School Bus Yellow. I can't wait to start my P-51 graphics. I have the satin white and satin black vinyl for the D-Day stripes already. Just waiting for the weather to clear up and some time to do it!
