I like gunmetal for white mustang. If I can I will buy gunmetal with polish lip wheels for my white Mustang.

This a image from www.tsw.com site..

I love black wheels but not on a white car. The contrast between the black and white is just too much. Silver painted, gray, machine aluminum all look great and are popular choices. I do like white wheels on a white car unfortunately it's just too 90s looking so you need big cajones to do that.

For reference...
Here's an example of some white Niche wheels on a white S197:

The pure black wheels do seem to "lack definitino" at least in photo's. I have tried the black and silver combo, there are some TSW and CS wheels that meet this critieria.

THe CS69 I am leaning towards, only thing is I dont have a Shelby :/ just a 5.0. Is this fround upon in the commnunity? Putting shelby products on non-shelby cars?

Also on the TSW site the ZOlder GLoss Black kinda attracted my eye. I want the nuringburngers but that wheel design seems very popular and I am trying to get something different.

Thoughts?

It's your car, and your money - do want you like and to hell with everyone else. If the Shelby styling stuff sucked, nobody would do it. As it is, it's a good looking set of parts.

Reiko, when it comes to using Shelby's aftermarket products, it's not frowned upon at all really IMO (especially with something like their wheels, which don't come on a stock Shelby). Shelby makes both cars and aftermarket parts now. It tends to be more debatable when it comes to things like badges, or trying to make the vehicle look exactly like a Shelby when it's not. However, that's all just opinions. Some like it, some don't. At the end of the day, you'll want to pick whatever makes you happy, as jsimmons also stated. I personally just think its cool that people have a passion for their cars and they come here to share that passion with others. If we didn't each have our own tastes and ideas, it wouldn't be near as much fun.

As for the Nurburgrings, they are a popular style right now, and those wheels in particular are nice and light, which is a big plus. However, keep in mind, even if you see a lot of a certain style on the web, you probably still don't see it that often when driving around town, so when you're out driving, it's still going to look unique and customized. (Oh, and if you like the Nurburgring style, there are also cheaper options that are similar if the weight isn't a big concern, such as the AMR wheels sold by American Muscle).

BTW....the Shelby CS40's are one of my favorite aftermarket wheels in terms of appearance, so you're definitely not alone in liking Shelby brand wheels.

UMich97 thanks fo rthe input. I looked at the CS40 but they are outta stock Seems they are popular as well. I am def not trying turn a 5.0 into a shelby per say but the wheels and possibly the Elanor grill, everything else will be the stock body (except maybe that bumb they call a spoiler) but thats beside the point.

After lots of review I think i will not go pure black, maybe gloss black with a lip accent or something. I saw a stang last night with all black wheels and it seemed to drown out the wheel design, pure white is also a no go after seeing pics. THanksfor the help everyone!

JSimmons, IMO...one should listen to one's wife...lol. I think you need some chrome to breakup the wheel to tire black.

It has chrome lug nuts. That's as much chrome as it's gonna get.

I actually wanted a different wheel (American Racing VN801), but I wasn't sure I could get it with the correct offset in a 18-inch wheel.

Big fan of black or white rims on a white car. Think it depends on the accents as well.

Yeah, the CS40's are nice. I also liked the black Shelby Razors, but of course they don't make those anymore (go figure). Another wheel that is pretty sharp and is new on the scene is the Stance SC-5 wheel. It comes in a matte black machined, that looks pretty good on white. Here is a white Mustang I found while googling:
