Best Wheel Color on White 2012 GT

Just wondering as I am very new to the car modificatin scene. I have done some research on various wheels and colors and visualizers etc... but cannot seem to find that "perfect" wheel.

Anyone know what the best color for a white Stang is? By best I means is most visually appealing. I wanted black at first but it seems to drown out the color on white. I foud some white or black with white but I hear that white wheels are hard to maintain or also drown out the color.

Basiclly should i contrast my wheels color with the car color? Ie Chrome, polished, white/black etc...

If anyone happens to have a pic with a white stang and white wheels and cares to post that would be good. Or just a pic of your white Stang with wheels of any color.

Thanks

Here's a link to an album of my white '11 GT. Has pictures of the car when it was stock on the Brembo wheels, then on HRE P40s, and then after I got rid of all the black plastic trim. Hope this helps at least a little bit.

I have a white Mustang too, and have been thinking about changing the wheel.

I really like the look of this boss... the wheel isn't jet black, it's got this smoky tone to it, which IMO looks really sleek on a white car.

Planning on replicating this look!

I picked black (AMR GT500 5-spoke wheels):

I took the car into the dealer this week, and people stopped and stared. Wait till they see it next Tuesday...

I was in the same boat as you, I went with piano black wheels from Forgestar.
Pictures don't show black wheels that well. It really looks awesome in person.

On any car I like silver or gunmetal and sometimes gold. I'm not a big fan of black, I like to be able to see the design of the wheel.

Thanks for input everyone. i really like to see the wheel design to which makes me lean towards something that is not totally black. I found some custom wheels that where white and black but could not justify spending 1100 bucks a wheel, not to mention after all that i found out they were not for a mustang anyway. THey were Asanti's.

WOuld certinaly like to see some more photos if anyone has any.

Thanks

My wife thinks I made the wrong choice, even though they were only $139 each.

Gunmetal color is your solution

Maybe it's because I have the Brembo wheels on my car, but I think that the best choice for white is a gunmetal or gray color. This keeps the car looking logical in that it introduces no new or different color on it. Maybe you can pick up a set of Brembo wheels off of Ebay or Craigslist at a decent price. Gets you 19 inch wheels and a factory stock look.

The other possbility for white is a gold color. Not sure I've seen this a lot, but there was a Shelby American car in front of their trailer at the Buena Park Fabulous Fords show on Sunday that was white with gold sheels and it looked really good, as well as unique. Not many Mustangs with that look that I've seen around.

Check one of the websites that has photos from that show, maybe it'll appear there. I have it on video; no still to attach. Sorry !

Before my white car arrived I was going to go with an all black wheel but after seeing all the pictures I have to say that the all black wheels lack definition. The charcoal or silver wheels appeal to me the most.

Black wheels are tough to photograph. In person, they look much better and don't lack definition.

I agree. Black in general is tough to photograph, but wheels especially. They do look good in person...and IHMO, especially a gloss set at night.

With that said, my favorite on a white Stang is still the black and silver combo.
