If the aftermarket can do a zillion different front and rear bumper covers for 05-12 cars then they should at least be able to do one that combines the use of the 13 taillamps without that oversized license plate surround.

 

If you get one unpainted then just prep that part and paint it with the rest of the part.

 

Since the car is black, I don't think I would need that part painted.

Last night I was at a car show, and the car got TONS of attention. And interestingly, not one person thought the gap was noticable. I think it is only questionable, if you are looking for it. Otherwise, most people don't even notice it.

 

I understand... But I think the biggest critic of that gap, would have been myself, had I done that. I'm too much of a perfectionist to not do it 100% right the first time. Again, just the way I am with myself.

 

Looks good. Yeah the gap sucks but the tails looked wicked. Hope an aftermarket company gets to making a knock-off that fits the 2010-2012.

 

If Raxiom makes a set that are reasonable, then I might consider a set at some point.

i think at least 30 people on this forum were watching that auction on ebay. i bowed out a few hundred dollars before the selling price. hopefully they'll come down in $ soon.

I'm leaning towards the Raxiom lights though pending cost on the 2013's....I KNOW IKNOW, there are a ton of people who hate them. But I have a WHite car and think the reverse light may actually look pretty decent. If not, I will just return them for the restocking fee!

yes. bolts right up. Roush Racing Team did it.

 

There are going to be a ton of aftermarket solutions to all of this. Just about waiting it out. No fun.

 

ultraklassic-- is there a lower valence that is bolted on to the bottom of the bumper on your car? it looks like it's all one piece, but some have said (in the case of 2013 RTR goodies coming out) that the rear valence will be changed, but it doesn't look like the section around and between the mufflers will unbolt. any comments are appreciated.

I finally heard from my dealer on a '13 bumper. WAY too expensive....the skin alone is $799 and that doesn't include the diffuser or the license plate surround. So a complete job including paint & install is about $1500.

But, I decided to remove my flat center panel since the tail lights are concave.

 

Is your mustang a real boss 302 Laguna edition?
