2013 Mirrors w/Puddle Lamps Installed on an 06
Well, finally got around to doing the install. Love it! Works with the keyless entry. I tied them into the interior lights circuit.
Install:
2013 mirror has 7 wire connector
05-12 mirror has 3 wire connector
2013 Wire Colors:
Black, Green/Purple - Heating Elements
Black/White, Gray - Puddle Lamp
Yellow, Red, Blue - Mirror Motor
05-11 Wire Colors:
Yellow, Red, Blue - Mirror Motor
Conversion: 1 Side
1. Unpin the the wires from the 2013 mirrors.
2. Remove mirror glass from mirror
3. Pull mirror harness back through housing to gain extra access to wires
4. Remove heating element wires (I'm not worried about heated mirrors)
5. Clip pins off wires and install bullet connectors, then shrink tube (5 - total, if not hooking up heating elements)
6. Remove door panel and mirror from car
7. Remove A-pillar trim from car
8. Remove map light housing from car
9. Remove factory mirror plug from wire harness
10. Install 3 bullet connectors and shrink tube
11. Using 16-18 gauge wire, run two wires from mirror connector location into door, through door grommet, run wire up A-pillar and under headliner to map light housing area
12. Install 2 bullet connectors to new wires on end where mirror is located
13. Use 2 scotch lock connectors and connect the 2 new wires to the black and white wires of the interior map bulbs. (Gray wire from mirror to Black wire at map light, Black/White wire from mirror to White wire at map light)
*There seems to be a resistor or something inline with the Gray wire going to the puddle lamp. If you reverse the wire hook up from above, the light will not shine.
14. Install 2013 mirror
15. Connect all connectors (obviously, red, yellow and blue go together, they are the same on all cars)
16. Replace all panels that were removed
Repeat steps for opposite side mirror
This is just a quick and brief description of the install. I will try to add more pics soon. Let me know if you have any questions.

fyi if you look at your 2010+mirrors you can see the section that snaps out for the pony projectors to snap into under the mirrors.
If someone can find the part number from ford and you know how to do wiring you can easily ad these to your 2010+mustang.
As soon as we find out the part numbers we'll be doing it to possibly both of my buddies 2011 mustangs.

I feel stupid... Wtf are y'all taking about??? Is there a led on the bottom side of the mirror that projects a horse in the ground? If so that is flipping sweet! And I'm going to do this on my agent 47s if that's possible :-/

Heated mirrors would be a good thing then for those in the cold north. I can see that as a justification then. My bad.
A savings for me though for being fortunate in living in the south. My wifes car has heated seats too, although that's a waste for the south; that, and I can park my bottom side on them for a few minutes and warm them for her.....

My parents have it on their last 2 fusions..great in the winter.
I wouldn't pay for it on my mustang though, it's stored.

well, this is the push I needed to get this project going. Just ordered a set of puddle lamps.
going to add led blinkers as well and the spotter glass (I have a '10 so didn't come with the spotter glass)
