2010-2014 Ford Mustang S-197 Gen 1 5.0 Fender Badge Placement?

I need some help I have determined with the help of my 2010 GT that to the top of the emblems to the body line is 14 3/4" but I cant find the dimension from the edge of the fender as the GT badge on the 2010 appear to be quite a bit forward compared to 11-14's I read from starkey that they suggest placing the 3.7 Badge about 2" from the fender edge I am also using the 3.7 Template from LMR but there is a lot of side to side play in the template. I would just go and find a 11-14 for sale and measure on that but there are none in a reasonable driving distance. So anyone with a 11-14 GT with the 5.0 badges could you just take a quick measurement for me from the edge of the fender to the edge of the 0? Only other thing I can do is remove the GT badges on the 2010 and grab hole messurements and drill my fenders, but then Ill need new GT fender badges too. Thank you in advance

You are correct on the 2" from the fender edge (2" to the edge of the "5" on the passenger side). I just measured because I took my factory emblems off to put stripes on. I also ordered some new ones that are flat black. Pretty much all of the aftermarket ones are stick on only and do not use locating posts or the factory holes in the fenders.

Thank you, I'm using OE Ford ones, My fenders just never had the holes in them. Though about drilling the holes but was too much hassle removing the 2010's badges just to put them back on. I'll be cutting the posts off the 5.0 emblems. Again thanks for the help cant believe no one has ever made a measurement picture like what I drew up, Guess most don't need it unless they're putting aftermarket badges on. (I need them for my new 5.0)

Also going to need pics with the new black badges on bet they will look great with those stripes. I really love them on the Ruby Red.

This is how it turned out, just thought I would update this, I went 2” - 2.25” from the edge of the fender and 14.75” from the middle of the body line to the top of the emblem. I also aligned the badge with the body line.

Does your 2010 GT still have the 4.6L 3 valve or did you do a 5.0 coyote swap? If not, then I don't quite understand the purpose behind putting 5.0 badges on a Mustang that still has the 4.6L 3 valve engine, unless of course it's been bored and stroked to 302 cubic inches.. Anyhow, just my opinion

If only I had known about your other thread prior to responding? I would've known where you were coming from, from the very start lol. Meanwhile, thanks for your clarification and heads up.

After reading over your other post, you put a lot of man hours in the engine swap. Needless to say, all your hard work has finally paid off, as you did such a fantastic job and now you can finally enjoy getting her ready to be driven once again.. Congrats
