5.0 Fender Badge Removal?

I've seen quite a few threads on this but all are indecisive lol... does a 2012 GT have pins holding in it place or just tape?

Identical holes since 2005 behind the "GT" emblems

I hate those alignment holes. I wanted to make my fenders emblem-free.

Wonder if late model Rangers had alignment holes too? On my '11 XLT, all three "Ranger" emblems were not mounted straight with the truck. I sold her, "As Is".

Ford would save so much money buy using adhesive only and no holes ... The Mustang models with no emblem (Boss and V6) use different fenders than GT's and GT500's due to the holes. I would rather have no emblems on my fenders.

GT/CS cars used to have holes behind the side scoops .. don't think they do anymore.

The holes are simply punches in the die that can be removed to make the fenders without the holes. The holes are for assembly. without them the badges would be all over the place. So there's very little cost, just some part number carrying costs to have holes and w/o holes.

The holes save a good amount of labor dollars and rework. So eliminating them wouldn't save any money. Eliminating the badges would, but marketing wouldn't likely approve.

Buy a set of V6 or Boss fenders, maybe in your color, and install them. Since the V6 was available before the Boss, my guess is that the Boss's use the V6 fenders.

Or, have a body shop weld the holes, and repaint.

It's not worth the cost.

I immediately wrote off the mod when I found out the fenders had holes in them. That's why I posted, "I wanted to make my fenders emblem-free."

Would these GT500 emblems fit the alignment holes?
Sorry to necro the thread, but it's the only one that I found w/ a pic of the holes in it; they look to be about the same dimensions.

They might, but they don't belong on anything less than a Shelby.

The kind that buys a lesser car and tries to pass it off as a better model.

Generally known as a stage three ricer, in this case a domestic ricer.

I just want to replace the 5.0 emblems with something new; I've always been a fan of the snake logo. Not trying to pass it off for anything more than it is. I can see your point though. The all black 5.0 emblems look pretty nice, too.
