Me too! I have 13 auto and I can rev it up more than 2k without any issues. Does this only happen in Neutral?

This only happens when in gear. The computer won't let you rev past 2k rpm while in gear. So, no more power braking for the '13 and '14's unless you get a tuner.

this is just another reason why a manual gearbox is the way to go!

I'm really interested in reading all of these types of threads. I personally wouldn't do anything to risk voiding any warranty on any car being it as the warranty cost is associated with part of buying the car. I figured, my warranty would be up in less than 3 years anyways, so might as well ride it out and let the warranty run out before starting to do anything to it.

I'm planning on trading mine for whatever GT350 comes out in 2016, as long as there's a Glass Roof available. Lol to hell with the warranty!

Ha-Ha, that statement reminds me of me when I was 18! I remember getting my 1993 Integra GS. paid 11k for it (used) and dumped another 8K into in in the first two years, doing all kinds of crazy mods to the car to only turn around and get rid of it for a better and faster Integra (my 96' GSR)!!

ever since then, I just want my cars to look great and will only really be looking to refine my driving experience by upgrading little things like shifter and possibly replace things that break on the car with performance parts.

I have a 2013 Mustang V6 Premium MT and did some mods to it. Roush CAI, Roush Axle Back Exhaust, and 3.73 gear ratio. As I was getting the gear ratio upgraded, the mechanic told me that I need to tune the car so I got the SCT X4 tuner. I really didn't know the significance of the tuner and its role so I didn't bother to mess with it.
However, hearing and learning about the increase in power and mpg, I am very interested in messing with it.
In one of the posts, a custom tune was mentioned. Can I custom tune the car with the SCT X4 as well? Does custom tune mean making my own tune instead of using the preloaded?
Is there an explanation somewhere about each available customs? For example, tire rev (?)... I am quite new with this so, I might need a lot of assistance from you guys.
I was debating whether to trade my car in for a 2015 GT, but I think I'm going to keep this car until the GT350 comes out and enjoy doing some more work on the car in the meantime.

1. Yes, it comes with preloaded tunes that you can use initially until you get a custom tune

2. It means that a SCT dealer (such as myself) will custom write your tunes specific for your vehicle.

3. It depends on the tuner and what they have available. I sale two types of tunes
3a. Performance tune - Is a wide range tune, with gains over the powerband
3b. Race Tune - Is a tune with aggressive throttle changes.

4. Wait for the GT350, trust me.

If you decide you want a custom tune, or you need a X4 shoot me a PM! Would love to get you set up with one.

Be sure to read some of my threads for details on how tuning works!

Cheers,
-Matt
