Good luck with this one, bud. If you want to make the Roush a little more tamed, put on some resonators. That may stop the parents from hearing you three blocks away. ;-)

Is it your car or did they but it for you?

generally teenagers don't have 30k laying around... crap. I had a $2,500 15 year old 135hp Camaro when I was a teenager.

Magnaflow Streets

Magnaflow streets have a great very deep rumble at start-up. They are not obnoxious and overly loud when driving normal. They don't drone at all. They have great looking tip's and are completely stainless steel. They do come alive when you floor the car as in passing or just for the heck of it.You can hear them going down the highway at 70/+ MPH if you turn off the radio and tune your ear to listen to the exhaust note.

I'm Talking 3.7 V6 here.

1) the GT500s are much quieter than Roush

2) How are you going to install the GT500s? They have a larger inlet diameter that won't fit w/out modifying them

Right but you're in the v6 forum so we're assuming you drive a v6. GT/GT500 mufflers will not fit on a v6 without modification.

Yes exact fit for the gt. your drive a sixxer correct? The piping diameter is different. The new 5.0 has 3.5" piping and the 3.7 has 2.5". You can fit em, just have to custom weld em on

So wherever I go I just have to tell them to weld it on? And will it sound the same as if it wasn't welded on? I want it to be a deep rumble at idle and normal when cruising and wake up at WOT is that what the GT500's are offering?

If its not welded its not gonna fit. The pipe from the muffler will be an inch larger than the rest of the piping. A custom connection needs to be made so it will fit. And youll need to get the gt500 diffuser as well to make space for the extra tailpipe

Big waste of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The Gt500 mufflers sound great on a GT500 because it is a V8.

Put them on a 3.7 V6 and they sound no different then a 3.7 with the stock factory mufflers. NO DIFFERENT

I'm talking 2011 and later V6 with factory duel mufflers. I have heard them and though they sound OK so does the Factory V6 mufflers.

There are a few V6 Mustangs around here in Daytona using them and I could not really get why anybody would buy stock Ford Mufflers and then pay the muffler shop to reduce them to fit on a V6 2 1/2 inch pipe.

If they do sound different I sure as hell could not tell.

That's why people recommend them? Why would people recommend them if the sound like the stock v6 mufflers?

They are stock mufflers

As far as why do people recommend them. I can't tell you. All I can say is go find a 2011 up 3.7 V6 at a car show or at your club and listen for your self. All I can say is a guy I met at a show at Sonic had them and they sounded not much different then what my V6 came with. He heard my Magnaflows and was really disappointed in the $$$$ he spent on the installation of the GT500 mufflers he had on his 2012. He said he paid a little over $400.00 with the shipping for the mufflers and $100.00 for installation. They were installed really nice. (Looked like a factory installation)

All I can say is I'm happy with my Magnaflow's. The best $512.00 I have ever spent.

What would u recommend for less than $450 exhausts axle backs that will sound like I want it like a deep rumble and not too loud? What would u recommend?

Flowmasters used to be around that price, but I think they have since gone up. They can be almost stock quiet if you stay off it, and no drone

Sometimes you just gotta wait & save up more $$$$

I have Magnaflow streets and I know your never going to get them for $450.00.

When I bought mine I got them from Amazon for $512.00 shipped. August 2012. I think they are more expensive now as is everything. You need to look around for a price you can afford and then see if American muscle can price match for you.

There are other good mufflers out there that are less expensive and sound OK but if you want a deep rumble at start-up and a great all around sound you just need to save a couple hundred more $$$ and get Magnaflow streets.
They are all Stainless Steel, Fit perfect, Sound great, No drone, Best looking tips of any other mufflers. Very high quality.

I can't see spending $400.00 plus on a set of mufflers that do not sound that much different from the one's already on the car to begin with.
