I would love to put OEM gt500 stuff on mine but I don't know who I could get to do it for me and how well it would work with my v6. Also if the cost is even worth it?

I would not suggest that route. could get expensive really quickly and probably wouldn't sound any better than the FRPPs.

That's what I figured. So it's one of these two FRPP OR ROUSH

I looked on the marketplace and made several posts and I got 0 feedback on em and no one was selling them
saw a pair of roush used on ebay and they sold for $404 so I just caved and bought em for 489. Comes with all warranties, hangers, instructions, clips, tips , ya know everything.

This is ridiculous. Break in period? Are sure it isn't a break in period for your ears?

I've tried them all. My 281 came with borla, changed out to 40 series flows with a ford racing h. My Mach 1 had a Bassani x pipe with magnas..and so. All v8s of course.

Point is, these brands are tailored for bigger engines. Your limited to what you can put on the current v6. Did I mention that the roush mufflers sound outstanding... On a v8.

I really think the flows are the way to go. Fords next in line but so costly.

Heres my only problem with the Roushs and why I stayed the hell away from them. They sound good in the videos of revs or at WOT, but they are too **** loud when you are driving like a normal person. I look for an understated rumble under light acceleration, because I don't want to draw that much attention doing 15mph on my street....

Thats why I went with the FRPP..with this site discount they were 630 if I remember correctly. They sound great at WOT but when cruising barely louder than stock. No drone at all. That pop between shifts at lower speeds that I had with the stock mufflers is a little louder but not that bad. But it really sounds mean at WOT....

Now the person someday who can create a muffler that makes a v6 sound like a v8 will be an instant millionaire!!!

This is why I'm now leaning heavily toward the borla ATAK I just have to decide axle or cat back! Any input?

I have Borla s-types and they are loud as hell. So loud Im thinking theyll push me over the db limit at my local track. Attaks will be off the chart. Im actually thinking of moving to the touring model and adding side exit for occasional loud, fun. Just some thoughts to consider.

My thoughts exactly. The Borla touring are fantastic in my opinion. I put them in the same boat as the FRPP and Flows as far as being the perfect DD sound level. Trust me, I LOVE a good loud screaming exhaust on a weekend or track car but it gets old when you're in the thing everyday =/

Will take into consideration def have to weigh those options. Although I do only drive my car two days a week. I own a restaurant and only have Monday and Tuesday off.

Mines a DD so I have to feather it around town but I prolly wouldnt worry so much about the volume if I only drove it twice a week.

you're leaning to the ataks why? theyre the loudest exhaust offered right now. hes talking how the roush are too loud so you agree and say thats why you want an even louder exhaust? dude just buy one already

Actually during cruise at speed the roushs are louder and also the warranty on the Borlas is much better.

I wanted annoying loud and my budget was $500, even if the ataks were in that price range I would stay away from them because theyre worse than annoying loud, theyre ear bleeding loud apparently and dealers in my area dont carry them because theyre "way" louder than roush and people would return em right back when they used them for a while.

I mean up to you of course. But if I were you id go with the s type or the touring, I think theyre the same but just the quieter borla.

Good luck
