I put Ford Racing axle backs on my 13 V6, and they are great! Exactly what I wanted... quite when just cruising, with no drone... but loud when you hammer it. I definetly recommend these, you pay a little more but you get your moneys worth I promise.

Anybody have the Steeda's? Brandon, any sound clips? I youtubed and Googled your exhaust and there is nothing to give me a taste of what they sound like.

It was $381 before too, I don't even know what happened... Stupid AmericanMuscle and their rape prices.

Go with latemodelrestoration.com, they have it for $420 now, free shipping no tax.

Us v6 guys get screwed over with these crazy prices, $600 axleback yeah right!
v8 guys can get the gt500 axleback for $300 and tons of good exhausts for ~$300

My $.02, from another thread:

Also, you need to keep in mind that "sounds better" is totally subjective. Some questions you need to ask yourself:

-- What volume of exhaust am I looking for?
-- What kind of drone can I live with?
-- Am I looking for deep and mellow or race and raspy?
-- Are there any local laws I need to keep in mind (for instance, removing cats or noise ordinance, especially if you live in a place with an HOA)
---- subset of that -- if you're going to track your car, does your local track have a noise limit?

Installed my flowmasters on Thursday before the price went up again on amazon. I gotta say for me these are perfect! There is a great roar as soon as you turn it on that was not conveyed in the American muscle video. Overall great exhaust love em.

I put on the flowmaster force 2. But I recommend hearing them first a roar to me might be like a purr to you and after all for the amount you'll be spending, it's better to eat them first. Or order from a place that has a good return policy lol.

You can use the same mufflers the GT guys use if you want to mod the rest of your exhaust system. A lot of guys are running the OEM GT500 mufflers on their V6s.

Better sound, no drone, cheap(er) mufflers. I should have gone this way, but I got the Pypes- M-80s and the sound totally sucks when the engine is under load on surface streets. Too loud for my taste, but sounds great at WOT.

I'm eventually going to replace the Pypes with a complete OEM GT500 cat-back setup (2-3/4 pipe modified to fit existing system, with GT500 mufflers).

How much would this set up cost? The ford racing exhaust is almost 800 and I feel that's a bit steep
