Nothing in the intake needs the oil that i know of.
Search 'catch cans' on this Forum, you'll see 'some people' think the catch can isn't needed and a waste of money, and 'some people' think its good to have one. I'm one of the 'some people' who think its a good thing to have

 

I won't be getting a catch can because I opted for the Ford 2 stroke package, so burning oil is supposed to happen.
