As stated before it makes a difference as a last mod to tie things together. Get air in, get air out! If you have intake manifolds, CAI and full exhaust the throttle body can be the last piece of the puzzle but not at $400. Only at around $200-250 imo. You will see gains in this instance but not $400 worth. Which is why I jump at the opportunity to get a gently used one.

Another note, AM states that on a moderately modified GT, a 70mm TB is more than enough. We are taking about a 73mm on a V6.

This is where I purchased it also. On a holiday with additional discount. It was a great buy and it complimented my other mods very nicely. I definitely noticed a difference in sound and torque. I have 2.73 gears.

So what did you notice performance wise with it? Or was there a difference

Initially I noticed better throttle response but I can't speak to if there are any real power gains as I'm still getting my tune worked out with Bama from installing the Steeda CAI last week. On my '12 there was a noticable difference throughout the power band as far as throttle response and slightly improved power. I won't know for sure how much power b/c I don't plan to dyno until I'm done modding. Still got driveshaft, gears & H-pipe to go. Almost there. Anyone need a mid-pipe with stock cats and FRPP x-pipe..lol

Talking about the cut'n'clamp? Been thinking about that one...just got the shorty headers installed today, so wanted to gauge them for a while before any more changes...what's your timeframe?

Here are some photos showing the difference between the stock TB and the BBK one. Not a lot but its a worthwhile mod if you can find it cheap.

I installed it last Saturday. She's a little more throaty and has a bit more on the low end. I like it.

Shorties, bigger TB and gears are the best thing for adding low end grunt on this car.

i installed the throttle body on mine a little under a week ago and i really didnt notice any performance gains with the butt dyno but i also didnt notice any gains when i put my intake and tune on mine car. only mod ive every really felt a difference power wise with the butt dyno was the long tube headers and off road x pipe. when i did notice with the bbk throttle body was that the throttle was smoother and more crisp. there was probably a little bit of improvment in the low end torque since it does take off smoother (mines a m6) than it did with the stock throttle body. i still havent gotten it retuned since i added the throttle body but i dont think a tune will make a bit of a difference.

The TB doesn't really add any peak power. It should add a little low end torque.
