Adaptive cruise control - retrofitting

Can adaptive cruise control be retrofitted to a 2014 V6 automatic?

I'm sure it could for the rift amount of money but I would imagine it be a very expensive retrofit as it would require the computer to be programmed to accept the electronics that would go with the system. As well as sensors (radar or laser) and a small camera (visual fed directly to the computer) to make it work properly. I'm sure I'm missing some details but i assume that's the (pricey) basics

I suspect you are correct. Way too much money for the benefit. Thanks for the reply.

Personally I don't like too many nannies like that. Makes drivers lazy. Things like traction control and abs are essential this day in age and I appreciate thing like backup sensors/ cameras and the like but too much help and we get lazy. Less attention is paid to the road for what? So people can text, make a call? What else is there?

Personally this is part of the reason my dream car is a 1970 Mach 1 in candy apple red. Simple 4 in the floor, posi diff, big honking motor with everything in arms reach to fix. And plus they're just drop dead gorgeous!

The other neat feature to adaptive cruise control is that these cars equipped will "precharge" the brakes for a quick stop if needed.

anyone interested in adaptive cruise control would have to look into this as well.

Adaptive cruise and cooled seats are the two features I wish I could add to my '13.

Our 2014 Edge Limited has adaptive cruise control. It will slam on the brakes 'automatically', if someone cuts in front of me when using it on the interstate. Coolest thing i've ever seen

We have adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance in our 2015 Honda CR-V and love it. There are those times when we are cruising along on the highway and would prefer to set cruise on but keep having to disengage it because the guy in front of us has the attention span of a two-year old and can't maintain a steady speed. With our CR-V the adjustments occur very quickly but are usually so subtle that only the driver notices them.
