Deysha, I had contacted Ford Customer Service, they opened a claim and I brought the car into the Dealer as they instructed me. Their conclusion was "no problem found". I assume this means it's normal. Maybe it is normal since others on this site also experience the problem. So I don't waste my time at the Dealer anymore can you answer the question is this downshift hard bump normal or does Ford have a fix? My car has 30,000 miles on it. Thanks for your help.

No problem found, and normal do not necessarily mean the same, JohnnyMustang2. Were they able to duplicate the concern you’re having and said this is a normal operating characteristic? You are also welcome to get a second opinion at a different Ford Dealer.

Does Ford have a fix for this problem or do you know of any case when this was fixed? I don't have another good dealer near by.

Your dealer would know if there are any TSBs for any concern you’re experiencing, but the vehicle would need to be fully diagnosed, JohnnyMustang2. I’m sure this dealer ran your VIN and checked on this already. All I can recommend is for you to contact other Ford Dealers and speak to them and get a second opinion. Let me know where you bring it into.

Deysha, I appreciate your suggestions and concern but this problem appears to be very common, so i ask again have you ever known this problem to be fixed.

As you already know, I’m not a tech or an engineer and I don’t have a list of everyone’s outcome on their repairs, JohnnyMustang2. I can escalate it for you and have you work with your dealer and a CSM on getting it resolved. You’re welcome to PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can forward it.

Let's escalate this. Do you have a email address to send info to?

Well I "escalated " the problem through Ford Area Rep. Got a lot of customer service niceties but no solutions. They dragged their response out for weeks, they wore me down. They are very skilled at their game. Game over

Will you please PM me with your case number, full name, and best daytime number so I can review it, JohnnyMustang2?
