So... any thoughts on how to safeguard against this?
So back on subject & screw all those commie bastards!!

Using a methanol injection system is one way to safe guard & maintain a high octane level. Check out Snow products, you'll gain power & piece of mind. Be sure your tuner knows how to incorporate their systems.

If one is really worried about octane then mix a little Torco in with every fill up. The stuff flat out works. On my old car I was running over 25 lbs of boost with a twinscrew with nothing more than a mix of 93 octane and Torco. Never had any issues.

Politics and religion have thier own place to brig it up, not the forums dedicated to car talk. Take it back on topic or this is closed. FYI as soon as I'm a pc i am removing all non-topic related post.

Sunoco placebo of champions!!!

Oh, I kid. I have tended to prefer Sunoco as well over the years...but I can't think of any reason to trust the ownwers of Sunoco franchises over any other brand.
