Window and Bumper marker Tint.

Just curious if you guys can post your pics and experiences with the tinting pieces for the front and rear bumper marker lights and also the rear taillights. The set on AM seems very expensive but I found a set on ebay for the tails, front and rear markers and 3rd brake for a pretty cheap price. He states the brand is Hexis film. Anyone purchase these before or hear of Hexis?

And second, anyone know what are good brands of window tint besides 3M which im told is the best. I like to question the place doing the work, like just ask them what they use etc.
What % did you guys go with and did anyone do the windshield?

Thanks!

I got front & rear marker tint from stang mods and honestly I wish I had just gotten a new set of full smoked markers. They are more $ but IMO look better/cleaner. I will probably end up buying a set . . .

My tint is 20% all around, didn't do the windshield, and I have no clue what they used. Looks great and they did a good job though!

I tinted my turn and markers with the ones from AM I thiink that is where I got them. You have to have patients if you want them to come out perfect and they look good! I put them on using same technique as install decals, spray bottle-mild soap, squeegie, clothe, and mild heat gun. Mine came out good just takes time to get them perfect. I spent problable 1 1/2-2 hours getttin them perfect. As far as window tint I always take my stuff to one guy I know who does a great job. I am no good at putting on window tint!!!

I have side marker tint from stangmods on mine. Also just got my taillight tint in from them today but haven't put it on yet. I bought some tint on eBay and it didn't turn out good never could get all the bubbles out so I got a refund.

IMO, tinting any lights is a bad idea/safety issue and only something I see kids doing.. plus I think it looks awful compared to the bright translucent lenses. I was behind some clown on the freeway the other day, and had I not been following at a reasonable enough distance to have time to react to his decel, I would have rear-ended him, because I could NOT see his brake lights in the sun.

All the Decals I have seen make the lights shiine thru very distinguisable still. The bright Yellow/Orange on the front end breaks up the all black cleanliness to me. A slight tint would look nice.

99mstng - All the lenses Ive seen look like cheap Euro crap on ebay. And just looking at the car, they look like they'll be a pain to install!

There was a long thread on here a while back about some decent ones people were trying to get a group buy for. I agree most you find on ebay look cheap . . .

So are they like a translucent film? That might look good and still transmit light pretty well. I think most of what I've seen around here is the thick, caked on VHT/spraypaint stuff, which does neither.
