It was until I started and realized it was actually pretty easy.. It's just a timing cover.. and If you mess up they sell them pre-machined for the blower install right from fordracingpartsdirect.com ..

So I assume you are going to sell the 4.10? Pm me with more info if you are. Thanks.

I will be there in about a year. Just got my car a month ago. Traded in my 2011 camaro for it. I always wanted whipple. The whipple whine is so vicious.

So you're saying pre machined timing covers are sold by ford? Any idea on cost? So theoretically if I bought that cover, I would just need to "bolt"everything on, with no machining of any kind...

I know ford dealers can do the install of a Whipple or roush super charger right? I wonder if they would grind the timing cover too, and the price difference for that.

Its a lot easier to grind the cover than replace it. I did mine in a 1/2 hour. It looks factory. No grind marks or groves. Cut off wheel on a die grinder and a wiz wheel do a great job.
In order to replace the timing cover you have to pull the harmonic balancer and reinstall it. If you have a balancer removal and install tool its not to bad.

That is an outstanding post! The Downloadable instructions from Lethal performance are good enough... but That would certainly help!.. My hat is of to that guy... Takes patience to do that.. I was kinda pressed for time...

I agree, I wish I had him or you as neighbors, I would attempt this with you 2 as backup in case I got flustered and needed help. :-)
My question is, can the MT-82 hold up to the power and torque this poweradder contributes to the drivetrain?

Thanks. It's me. First at home 2.9L install.

Didn't have a manual for this blower either, so I wrote this.
