Whipple home install 2011 5.0

I just installed the Whipple 2.3 700 hp kit from evolution performance... I have some pics of the install.. Somewhat Detailed pics of the timing cover mod, I colored the material to be removed in with colored Sharpies.. If anyone is interested let me know.and I will post them. I just.loaded the sct canned tune for now.. I will be removing my 4.10 gears and.getting a dyno tune with 3.55s then I will post the numbers.. I guessing/hoping for about 580rwhp with a safe tune. I completed the.install in 2 days.. It's not hard just time consuming.. Fun tho...

Next time try a cutting wheel and a die grinder, Then finish it with a wiz wheel. Your job will come out much neater.

It was 11:30pm all I had was a rotozip.. Besides you would have to remove the radiator degas all the hoses and.the new tensioner to se where I cut..

It's really not bad.. Anyone with basic mechanical knowledge could follow the directions and install this kit successfully. Dont be affraid to try. The timing cover mod was the only thing that was a little bit of a pain in the a$$. De-pinning the.factory wiring clips took a little patients too.. Other than that it wasn't bad at all it was fun!

I used a rotozip with metal cutting wheel. Dremel would take 3x as long. rotozip is bigger and stronger and works much faster. it is not hard just time consuming. Sorry but That's all the pics I have of the timing cover before and after. After that I stopped taking so many pics. I'll post the rest.. It's honestly not hard to do. Do not hesitate to try it! Fordracingpartsdirect sells a pre machined cover.. But modding ur own is easier then changing it out!

Very jealous, this is the only reason I regret having the Boss 302,

Yes, I can supercharge it, but it's not what the Boss was designed and built for.

I went from 320 hp to 444hp now I am craving more already, HaHaHa
