Steeda parts

I've decided that I'll be getting a Steeda no tune CAI and a Steeda oil separator for my 14 GT. My car is a fair weather car only so I think I should be OK with the CAI. Now, just waiting for these items to be on sale!!!

I am a fan of Steeda products usually.
I like the look of the Steeda oil separator but it requires you to cut the existing pcv line and then crimp on a connector to attach the hoses.

For me it should be plug and play (for example JLT) with the correct hoses and pcv factory style locks already installed so it is easier to install and you could take it off and sell it if you got a different style or sell the car.

JLT is widely considered the worst-performing separator, so having or not having factory connectors shouldn't be a factor there. Steer clear.

Many of the alternatives on the market require you to cut your stock line. Or do what I did and buy a second one. Found the OEM part on ebay for $12. Not painful. Ended up with a great performing separator (Moroso) with factory connectors, and the ability to go back to stock if I lose my mind.

Great choices on parts. Huge Steeda fan myself. Post up some pics when you get it all in the car!

+1 you'll love the steeda tune and intake combo OP. In running their 93 octane tune and the car just really pulls now it's crazy

On the 5.0 Model Steeda can it comes with the connectors and hose. I did not like the JLT So I have the Steeda and custom made the hoses.

Is there cutting of any sort or just a direct fit with the parts included? I just got mine today, looking forward to install!

I ordered the Steeda oil separator and it came with two different types of connectors. they appear to be the same size, which ones do I use? the black ones or the silver?

Thanks,

I used one Straight and one 90 degree one. Use what ever works for your install. Congrats on the Steeda. I love mine.

I just had my Steeda oil separator installed today (sorry no pix) it's a quality unit. I was not sure I really needed one there was little to no oil so it seemed in the stock PCV line but better safe then sorry as I am running a 93 Steeda performance tune and I don't want any oil dropping my fuel Octane down.

Amen on all accounts, as noted above.

You might as well just use straight tubes with no filter if you're going JLT, because that's the performance you're getting.

I also custom made my tubing, versus getting it pre-made, although Bob's had the option to purchase it.

I have the Bob's Oil Sep and love it.

You really need to do something about those hose clamps, they let the whole car down.

^ yep, I plan on trading in the car today for 10k less because of those clamps. Wanna buy it instead? I'll even leave those clamps on for you.

Seriously though, I plan on changing that whole setup when I get time this year...hose, clamps, and all. In addition to other underhood changes.

How about these clamps? Bobs ultimate separator with heat shrink hose clamps.

Yes. Really is a nice setup. Works awesome and the drain valve at the bottom is very convenient.

Do you have the OEM part numbers?

Any information you can pass along on the custom made hoses?

I would rather not use the crimp on clamps that Steeda provides but otherwise I plan to go with the Steeda. I would do the Moroso but I don't like how it looks in the engine bay with hoses going across.
