I'll quite likely get other Steeda parts for my ride, but (any) CAI is not at the top of my list.

As much as i'l love to think that a 44HP increase is achievable with Steeda CAI and tune i'm having no problem with that, but my guy talked directly to the Steeda people and they said they have an issue with the tune. What it is exactly, they wouldn't tell for obvious reasons, and since this thread started, we haven't heard back from OP since. Makes you wonder.

It's like we're playing the Arab phone game right now, my guy was told from them that their was nothing wrong with CAI but rather an issue with tune, that's why we didin't receive ours at the dealership. So who's right and who's wrong. Can't wait for Gus to chime in on this one. Their are quite a few guys with new 5.0's that i know of that are waiting on some answers about this kit real potential.
So obviously Shaun, you probably didn't get yours as well.

there is nothing wrong with the CAI except they ran outta parts to make them due to a supplier issue.
Just because Gus didnt mention an issue with the tune doesnt mean it does or does not exist. Just passing along experiences.

Just something I read as a simple rule of thumb, double the HP to get the cfm needed. A rule of thumb, not science! Using this, a 05-09 GT needed 600 cfm (300 HP * 2). The 05-09 flowed 535 cfm so yes the stock box hurt performance. The 2010 GT needed 630 cfm (315 * 2) and flowed 800 cfm. I don't see an aftermarket CAI helping a stock 2010 GT. The 5.0 would need 824 cfm (412 * 2) and only flows 750 cfm so I can see something aftermarket adding 10 HP. The V6 needs 610 cfm (305 * 2) and flows 700 cfm so its doesn't need any help. My 2 cents.

I got my Steeda CAI and SCT tuner combo a couple days ago and installed.I could not be happier with the results of everything.I did not dyno yet but seat of the pants shows some very noticable gains in throttle response and overall performance compared to stock.
The install was a breeze and took about 20 minuets to swap out the stock set up with the Steeda. After installing the Cai I did the tune and for anyone thats on the fence you will love this set up I made a few adjustments like revs/mile,raised rpm limit to 7300,91 octane it was so easy to do and the results were amazing. My car started right up after the tune and settled in at the normal idle just like stock.I did not get any check engine lights or codes and the car drove like stock untill you get on the throttle.
It absolutely ripps through all gears and the sound of the induction is crazy I'm waiting on my Magnaflow exhaust to finish my performance mods (for now atleast)
