I've been experimenting with different tunes and different intakes the last few days. I have only tuned a cold car and made sure retained power was off. I have louded 4 tunes and returned to stock once using my iTSX and all worked flawlessly. So which is it?

 

Anyone with older tunes and tuners having issues going to back to stock? Ive had the same two tunes on my sct for around 2 years with no issues.

 

My tuner is from feb 2011 and not touching cause no problems. Since SCT refuses to answer there phone I asked Brenspeed-they suggested if not having issues (not) then don't touch it (not!). SHAME on SCT-they are practically handing their business over to diablo sport-heck, even Vortech is using Diablosport now!

 

yeah, i'm rock solid now that I always do it after the car has been cooled off for like at like 30 minutes after last driving.

I called into SCT today, took about 10 mins of waiting but once through I got about an hour of help from Dean at tech support. My tuner would not communicate with the computer, after about 30 minutes of dealing with my laptop that runs Vista we tried my netbook on Win7 and voila it worked. I don't know if this new firmware update has anything to do with you guys' freezing up (he said he wasn't sure if that's what it was trying to correct) but my point is that they have sporadic heavy phone call loads, yet do answer once they're free. Great customer service, just gotta give them a chance (and trust me, I tried a few times this week before success today). Also looking forward to getting my new tunes from C&L soon...hopefully no freezing on my device.

FYI...he also mentioned that they're finishing up a new version of the Livewire that utilizes a version similar to the TSX, but it's a large glossy touchscreen with improved features - it even works in tandem with a backup camera. Could be interesting to see it in person once released.
