Purchasing SCT X4 for stock 5.0. Run canned tune til modded or pay for VMP mail tune?

I came across a deal for an SCT X4 that I can't pass up from VMP. My motor is stock and I have only added a GT500 axle-back in terms of exhaust mods. I'm trying to decide if I should roll with the canned tune that comes with the X4 or should I pay for a mailed tune from VMP? I won't ever probably get into serious mods like heads, cams, etc. But I will probably down the line look into either an off-road or high-flow H-pipe and a CAI (although a lot of what I have read says the stock air box is more than adequate and a CAI would really just be for looks/sound). If you were me, would you pay the money for a mail tune from VMP? Is it that good of an improvement over the canned tunes on a stock vehicle?

Note: I have a manual transmission, so I won't benefit from the shifting improvements that automatic owners do.

I would run a tune from Justin @ VMP over the canned tune.

i would not just put any old tune mailed to you unless they were right in your area.

id want to go the route of data logging with the tune provided and tweak as needed with the tuner via remote tunning process.
just my two cents
