An LED is a LED.

Perceived quality exists when the prices goes up and someone jams a crazy 35 SMLED or Luxeon cluster in the same spot that a simple 5 led, 3mm fitting cluster would do the job.

It's brighter, and it cost significantly more. I therefore perceive it to be better. Sure it's brighter, but the cost isnt quality, its the additional overhead for manufacturing something that well actually package nicely with that heatsink, lol.

Have you used V-LEDs? They are indeed very high quality and have a lifetime warranty.

An expected reaction from someone who got called out for overpaying. I don't blame you for trying to save face and justify why you spent 60bucks. More power to you if that floats your boat.

We will reconvene in 5 years or so, when my "low" quality LEDs are still working the same as your "high" quality LEDs.

Deal?

Wow ... vleds or superbright leds ftw - paid less than $60 total to completely change to led interior/exterior on two cars.

I also went with a dim but white light for my license plate. It's probably just as readable as stock or possibly slightly less ... looks a lot better than the yellowish oems and I'm not blinding people driving behind me lol

Op already gave up on addressing folks like us who showed her that 60 bucks is ridiculous for the same "quality" LEDs. She already refuses to address my response on previous page... Lets not embarrass her further.

I'm already unsubscribing to this thread.... Folks like this not worth my time.

When you make a statement of your 60 dollar leds are "better quality" than other people's LEDs they bought from vleds and others, you are making an ignorant statement.

My "time" to respond to this thread is to inform other members of how false that is... I don't care about what YOU do to your car. Mod away, and throw money away all you please. I don't give a rats you know what...

But when you start to deceive other innocent members on this forum, I step in. Mods should too.

Again, I reiterate.... You probably know nothing about LEDs, I do. I've been in the engineering field for over 15 years... Your 60 dollar LEDs are in no way shape or form, "higher quality" than other LEDs. PERIOD. So stop misinforming the public.

Why are you guys arguing over light bulbs? I will say this...I've never seen led's that bright before. I know nothing about led's though, and I don't want to know anything about them, so don't tell me why they're brighter. But stop arguing about light bulbs.

how long did it take you to research and pick out those map lights? What about the trunk light? We're you a lighting technician for Poision in the 80's?
