Heat

I want to take the 13 GT to the track but it will be HOT. How do they deal with the heat? Do they drop off much with back to back runs? It will be 100+

The car will dissipate heat just fine but your et and mph will suffer a great amount. Don't expect times to be what you are used to hearing. You should wait a few months if you're wanting good et's. If you want to just make a few runs for fun, then knock it out. Just Dont worry that you car isn't "right" because the times are slower than you expected.

What would be a decent et and mph in 100 degree heat for a stock 13 with 3.73's? According to the track forecast the DA is 2982 at 8:00PM

13.0-.3 low 100's would be my guess.

Last time at the track i hot lapped the car 5 times and nothing discernible in changes occurred, at least nothing i couldn't blame my own inconsistency for.

I agree the car will probably be ok but I'd never push a car that hard in the heat...at last not one I cared about. The possibliity of knock is greatly increased.

finally made it to the track at around 98 degrees. Best was 13.32 110.22 with 2.14 60ft. Never could get traction for a better 60ft. Had a great time!!

I need to figure out what wheels and what offset will clear the rear brakes so I can run slicks. I would probably get 28x10s
