What I'm looking for as well! But with the reports that these 5.0L motors prefer the Hpipe over X (HP/Tq is better with the H...@10:19 in video below) I might just try the Heart-throb H mid-pipe system.

Good info! I'm surprised at how quiet it still sounds in the video. I've heard a few that weren't to loud, but very muscle car sounding. Makes me think that it might not be too bad with the Roush's. I'll be waiting for slostang's review on his set up.

The roush alone is not all! Most of these guys don't know what loud is if there complaining about just a axleback! The only loud axleback IMO would be muf deletes and there not bad! Loud is off road x pipe ,headers and muf deletes or maybe the roush! This will be my setup with roush soon so and I will post a video asap so all u can enjoy the sweet symphony of a true muscle car sound!!!:headband:

 

Loudness is a matter of opinion. I have the GT 500s and while the sound good, I will be testing the Roush this weekend. Many guys have said that the 500s have a nice rumble to them and many say the Roush are perfect. My thoughts are, if I wanted quiet I would drive a cadillac. I am interested in a Mustang because of the power and sound. Nothing beats me sitting at a red light next to a rice burner that sounds like a lawn mower while I rev my engine sounding like thunder!

 

^ Don't give in to the temptation at the red light like that...lol... doing the actions you stated puts you in the same category as them.

Well here is the verdict! Roush axlebacks are installed gt 500s off. So far so good! They are a bit louder but manageable. I will run with the Roush a couple of days and see what I decide.

 

No pun intended buddy I have plenty cop friends! that's probably why I don't have any tickets!lol haven't got a speeding ticket in 21 yrs don't plan on it now the one time I almost got caught it was one of my cop buddy's just wanting to check out my new Stang! Think he is looking into buying one now.

Which ones do you like better? Are the Roushs too loud for you or what? Give them about a week before you decide.

 

I agree, the break in on the Roush's takes a few days. The way you'll know is the smile on your face gets progressively bigger as u drive.

 

The Roush sound great! So far so good. I do get a bit of drone but not bad. I will try them out for a while and see how they work out for me

 

When are you experiencing the drone? What speed, gear, situation are you in?
