I have an auto. Yes, the drone is while picking up speed. Once I reach 50 mph or so the drone is gone. So far, I am enjoying the exhaust. It turns heads for sure!

Then I wouldn't call that drone if it's just exhaust tone while accelerating. I always took drone as a steady tone at cruising speeds. IMO I love hearing the exhaust while accelerating just don't want to hear a loud tone while at cruising speed

That's not drone, that's just the sound of the exhaust. Drone is an annoying humming sound at cruising speeds. My old 02 with Flowmasters droned like you wouldn't believe. So bad that you couldn't talk on the phone or hear the stereo at times.

Well guys, decided to stay with the Roush! They sound really good and after a few days with them they appear to be sounding better and not too loud. When I asked my wife which ones do I keep? She responded are you serious? The Roush of course. So there is the final say! Roush it is! Thanks for all the comments and feedback

Glad you found the set you like. After all, no ones opinion of your car should trump your own. Now if you want a real audible treat, drive through a tunnel or under a large overpass. Makes the exhaust sound twice as angry!

After reading through this thread, I'm pumped up for the Roush Axlebacks!
I'm just waiting for a shipping quote for Japan... At least they are lighter than some other Axlebacks!

One question while I wait...
The only aftermarket exhaust I've heard live was a Bassani. I think it was a catback. It was super loud! The Roush Axlebacks aren't that loud are they?

They're only as loud as u want them to be. Self control goes a long way with these. In my townhouse, my neighbors are literally right above my garage and I'm going on 5 months with no complaints from them. Cold start can be harsh on our cars with aftermarket exhaust, a quick blip to the throttle will bring the rpm's down to idle.

The Roush are great! The more I drive my stang the more I love the sound. It just sounds aggresive at times of acceleration. I am glad I chose the Roush! Not to mention looks and weight.
