Keep in mind installation is not easy and quite laborious. I've done it on my jeeps and it wasn't fun. So you may need to add labor cost and tools into the mix.

Get gears man. All you need is stickier and wider tires for traction. Your can will still spin tires with l a's. I still get wheel spin, but not super bad. A LSD will help you accelerate thru corners. It's really a piece used to stabilize traction for turns on a track. I've heard it can actually hurt your straight line acceleration.

Every V8 Mustang since 1985 and every V6 Mustang since 2011 comes with a Limited Slip Diff. The notable exception is the Torsen Differential that is optional on Boss 302's and GT500's lately. The Torsen Diff is the one that's awesome for putting down the power thru corners that is not necessarily best at the dragstrip. Limited Slips are great at getting power down for drag racing. Open diffs are bad (one wheel peel!!!), and have no place in our Mustangs in any circumstance, so it's a good thing that open diffs are no longer put in any of them.

+1... The stock Traction-Loc LSD are a pretty good all-around diff. Maybe swap out the clutch packs for the carbon fiber version if you want. If corner-carving is tops on your list, then I would strongly look at the Boss 302 Torsen...

But will he stand by his work, and redo it for free when it starts whining horribly?...

Unless he's only charging you a case of beer, I'd take it somewhere that will warranty it and stand by their work.

And again, your car already has a LSD. So disregard any posts suggesting that you get one.

Just get an adjustable UCA and your wheel hop will be history. Don't be disappointed when the LCA's don't get rid of it

not going to lie, reading this thread, it seems like you're trying to reinvent the wheel.
