Just installed stock GT500 OTA pipes which are the same as the OEM GT but without resonators. Paired with the GT500 axle-backs, the exhaust note is perfect IMO. Just a notch louder than with resonators, but more gutteral and not at all raspy or drony.

I have the same setup and I think it sounds great. Here are a couple of pictures comparing the two pipe setups for those who didn't see it before.

Do you have part numbers and or prices for the stock GT500 OTA pipes? Are they 2.75" or 3". I'm also wondering if going to a full 3" catback setup will add any power? If I eventually do headers and an H or X pipe, will it be better to have a 3" from the cats back?

I bought my GT500 OTAs used with only 900 miles on them, so not sure of the part #s. But whenever I need part #s, I look it up on Tousley Ford's site.

The factory pipes are 2.75". The only difference between the GT and GT500 OTAs are the resonators.

BTW, I am selling my OEM OTAs for cheap if anyone wants a spare pair to return to stock. PM me.

Here are the part #'s that were on my GT500 OTA pipes. This was off of a 2013 GT500.

I didn't wright down which side was which. I'm not sure on prices but I remember someone had posted that the factory GT500 pipes for a 2011 or 2012 GT500 were about $300+ each.
