Engine swap
Hello,
I have a 2011 5.0 Mustang that got water ingestion after a freak rain event. Major damage, and the block is basically a write-off. I have sourced a second hand coyote from 2014 and I want to buy that rather than pouring many thousands of $ in new parts into a 7 year old car. The engine is all dressed except accessories (which I already have).
my question is, are there any surprises waiting for me? Any hidden gotcha’s? For example, matching my ECU to that engine, different motor support locations? Or is it a virtual plug and play?
Thanks,
Xander
