Hi everyone, my 05 engine needs a rebuild but i found a used 08 bullitt engine for sale. Is there any issues with swap with the wiring harness or computer? It doesnt come with valve covers, intake, throttle body and oil pan. I beleive my valve covers from my 05 wont fit the 08 but thats it i think. Thanks for any input

 

Mechanically there should be very little difference. All of the S-197 Bullitt's extra power came from the ECU. I cant remember if it was the same unit with different programming or an altogether different ECU (the Bullitt featured an adaptive tune based on the fuel type used IIRC). but there wasn't really any difference on the engine.

edit: the only mechanical difference I can remember is the harmonic balancer which was tuned for the Bullitt's engine which might have revved higher compared to the standard GT mill.
